Effective September 27, 2026 · Applies to the Last Step Android app (package com.ninthbit.voidstep)
At a glance
Last Step is developed by Ninth Bit Studio. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and how you can control it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at ninthbitstudio@gmail.com.
Last Step is a single-player puzzle game with no accounts and no servers of our own. The following is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone, is never transmitted, and is not visible to us:
All of it is deleted the moment you uninstall the app.
Last Step shows ads — a banner below the board, a full-screen ad between regions, and short videos you can choose to watch for a hint or an extra attempt. These are served by Google AdMob, which collects your device's advertising ID and related technical data (device model, coarse region, app version) to select and measure the ad. We never see that data ourselves and we don't build advertising profiles.
If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's certified consent form before any personalised ad is requested. You can review or change that choice at any time with Settings → Ad privacy.
Buying Remove ads or the Everything pack switches ads off completely. After that the app requests no ads and no advertising ID is collected.
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Your payment details go to Google and never pass through the app — all Last Step receives back is whether a given item is owned. We don't store a purchase history, an order number or anything that identifies you as a buyer.
If you allow notifications, the app can remind you that a new daily puzzle is ready. The reminder is scheduled and fired locally by your own device; nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, and there are no push servers involved. You can turn it off in Android's app notification settings at any time.
Last Step is built on two Google SDKs, each governed by Google's own privacy terms:
There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter and no social or advertising network beyond AdMob.
Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete. Still:
Last Step is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them. The game contains no real-money gambling, no chat and no user-generated content. It does contain ads, and purchases can be made with real money, so parents should be aware of both.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Last Step after a change means you accept the update.
